The Spelling Bee

posted Thursday, 2 March 2006
Fixed the problem, and now the complete podcast "The Spelling Bee" is available for your listening pleasure. if you're a subscriber, you'll now find you have two "Spelling Bees" in your iTunes. Keep the one that runs 14:32. Delete the other one.

So we wound up talking and recording a lot more than we were expecting to and we have a backlog of podcasts. We want to try to keep these relatively current, so from here on out, there will be no rhyme or reason to the posting of the podcasts. Expect one on Monday and a few surprises here and there throughout the week. Today's is probably OK for work.

It has been brought to my attention that people other than myself had the genius idea of naming a group of this sort "Three Peas in a Podcast." My heartbreak on this matter knows no bounds. So I open it to you, any ideas for a good podcasting team name?

As ever, keep the feedback coming, I hope you're enjoying these, and make sure you go subscribe in iTunes and leave us a comment.

Pat,

During the podcasts you ask people to send in their suggestions but do not give your email address on the show. Maybe you should open and close the program with an announcement about how to get in touch with you.

How about "Open The Podcast Bay Doors" or even "Open The Podcast Bay Doors, HAL"?

Unless you hate 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.

Kemper,

We are setting up a new e-mail account for that very purpose.

Rob,

I do indeed hate "2001: A Space Odyssey." Like, a lot.

Podcast, Shmodcast. I'm just upset that SNL sold its last shred of irreverence to Jamba Juice. A sad day indeed... Can we air SNL grievances here?

Yeah, I love SNL.

However, after 20 long seconds of the Jamba Juice skit - I flipped back to MAD TV - Wow.

this is a shameless plug, but oh well

you all should check out an awesome show from The N called O'Grady-- you can watch it for free online here: http://www.the-n.com/ntv/shows/ogrady/video/

Amy Poehler and Conan were voices this week and they have lots of other great voice guest-stars coming up (Rob Cordry, Rachel Dratch, Will Arnett)...

Our animation company Soup2Nuts makes it and they are awesome, great, funny people.

YES! That's the one...hard to believe, but it's owned by Scholastic...and a lucky part of my job is getting to work with them!
