I like to move it. Move it.

The Severed Member

So here is our latest podcast, "The Severed Member." I wanted to call it "A Chip Off The Old Cock," but I didn't think iTunes would accept it.

Anyway, this podcast needs to come with a disclaimer. This was recorded last Saturday. Ian Friedman showed up at my house about 4PM, drinking a Coors Lite. There was a slight wobble to him. Something was off. He informed me that he had done five shots of whiskey before leaving his apartment.

When Josh arrived, we hit record and got over an hour of talk down on tape. It's really a fascinating listen, as you can hear Ian getting drunker and drunker. And drunker. He continued pounding beers and guzzling freely from the classy bottle of wine I had in my house: Gato Negro. The Black Cat. Two gallons of wine for $7.49. Ian finished nearly the entire bottle throughout the podcast.

This first ten minute chunk you probably wouldn't know the difference.

But when "the beast" kicks in...good Lord. I don't know how much of the remaining hour or so will even be postable or listenable. I'll try to whittle it down and get the good stuff on the site. At some point it becomes like listening to a train wreck.

This ten minute chunk ends abruptly with Ian making a completely out of place declaration. At this point, he left the room, Josh and I looked at each other with fear, and we knew we had a rough hour ahead, full of slurred speech, lengthy stories and accusations of anti-Semitism.

Enjoy this first ten minutes. Fear for what lies ahead.

How weird, Joey the Intern mentioned the penis-tossing incident in this week's podcast of "Infected"http://www.sargeworld.comas well. Never before has a story so captured our imagination.

I have not listened to the podcast - and I am already laughing due to your synopsis.

BBC comedy fans - check out The Robinsons. I think the show has been on the air for 6 months, but I just got the Time Warner triple play deal - cable, phone, Internet - no more rabbit ears for TV – so I am in the process of absorbing cable TV and VOD. Still, all you really need is Fox for 24. Also, the episode of South Park this week - ripp’n on Family Guy and analyzing the free speech debate - HILARIOUS.

Thank God for my 30-minute commute to Midtown via NYC transit - or I would never read books.
