Oscar Nominee Predictions

posted Monday, 30 January 2006

Even as far back as 5 or 6 years old, I treated the announcement of the Oscar nominations like Christmas morning, waking up early and rushing into the living room to sit riveted, pen and paper in hand, while my mother looked on and silently questioned my future sexual preference.

Nothing has changed, and I still love to make predictions and lists. The following is a list of who I think the major category nominees will be at 8:15 tomorrow morning.

IMPORTANT: This is not necessarily who I think SHOULD be nominated, we can deal with that another time. This is who I think WILL be nominated. Keep in mind I won a large Oscar pool last year. And the year before that. And pretty much every year since I was born.

If George Clooney wins an Oscar, I hope he insults Jack Abramoff again...Hilarious.

Pat, I am not sure if you were there, but I definatly won the pool over at Jeremey and Jason's where I recieved 80 dollars. If you were there, haha you suck. If you weren't then know I would have dominated you had you been there.

I was not there, but you're doing a lot of trash talking for a man who posted the same comment three times on the previous entry.

JJ, I wouldn't be laughing, you just posted yours twice.

I am not a man of science. Simple means are more my way, but it would seem if two of us have posted the same thing multiple times, the rational conclusion might not be our error. Rather it might be that your website sucks at being a website, just as you suck at being a man, you dick.

I think Mike C. is correct; there must be an internal error with blog-city... As for the Oscars pool, you kicked my ass last year.

So, it appears that 'Munich' slipped past your radar, although you did give it a decent review on an earlier post.

Mike Curry, despite the incredible ease with which I could spin your comment into a joke involving the words "man," "suck" and "dick," I will take the high road, but I will not concede that the website has a problem.

Basically, when you hit "Yes, Post My Comment," you have to wait until it says "Thank you, the owner of this blog will be notified" or whatever before hitting it again. It's an issue of patience.

JJ, I liked Munich, I just didn't think it would get much Oscar love, as no one appears to be too passionate about. I was wrong, as it picked up some majors, including Director and Picture.
